mary smith - artist and tutor
I work as an artist and tutor in the village of Melbourne where I am lucky to be surrounded by the beauty of the Derbyshire countryside. My paintings are an expression of my love of the landscape here in the British Isles.
My workshops and classes are designed to offer a friendly relaxed atmosphere where I provide regular demonstrations on a wide range of painterly techniques and uses of media. I try to maintain a good support system for my students with plenty of encouragement and lots of enthusiasm. I will be exhibiting my paintings again at the Melbourne festival www.melbournefestival.co.uk this September 17-18th in St Marys Hall, Church street, Melbourne.
I accept commissioned work and am open to negotiable prices for my artwork and paintings, which can be viewed in the gallery section. Details of forthcoming and recent exhibitions are updated periodically.
